International Women’s Day (IWD) is much-anticipated at CoreLogic. We reserve March 8 for celebrating the achievements of women and acknowledging the challenges they face. On International Women’s Day 2023, we recognize the need for collective action to address gender inequality and create a more just and equitable world. We also know that International Women’s Day cannot be commemorated in isolation; it is crucial to continue working toward gender equality to ensure that the achievements of women are consistently recognized and celebrated.
Women past and present have made significant contributions to all areas of life. From business and science to politics and the arts, International Women’s Day 2023 is an opportunity to showcase the diversity of women and their experiences, as well as a reminder to celebrate these achievements to inspire the next generation of women leaders.
Women Leading CoreLogic
Everyone begins their life in a different place. That is why equal opportunity isn’t always enough and true inclusion requires participation in the form of equitable action.
“Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome,” said Nikki Simms, a steering lead on CoreLogic’s Women’s Business Council, one of the company’s Employee Resource Groups.
When opportunities for equity are presented, advancement occurs – particularly in women’s careers. At CoreLogic, we work to foster an environment that raises awareness and appreciation for diverse perspectives, and we celebrate the fact that everyone has a part to play when it comes to building a great business.
From our Chief Economist Selma Hepp and our Client Success Executive Sage Nichols to our Vice President, Risk & Analytics Operations Kristine Wulff and our Vice President, Hazard & Risk Management Maiclaire Bolton Smith, we admire and respect how women have augmented our company’s culture and success. In return, we strive to demonstrate our thanks by cultivating an environment of respect.
“No person should have to fit a mold – we are all valuable contributors,” said Jan S. Morris, a content pillar lead on the Women’s Business Council. “I embrace equity by fostering a culture of respect where every person is treated with dignity and valued for the unique qualities they bring to the table.”
Not only are these women enriching the lives of their colleagues and leaders, but they are also bringing their diverse perspectives and unique views to the world around them, touching lives and bringing positive change in the process.
On International Women’s Day 2023, we are incredibly grateful for the contributions that women bring to CoreLogic.
The Core Theme
The international theme for IWD alternates every year, and this year it is #EmbraceEquity. At CoreLogic, we have fully adopted this initiative and put our own spin on the tagline to update it to #EmbraceCoreEquity. This International Women’s Day hashtag will make an appearance throughout the month of March and will highlight the women that make CoreLogic an enriching place to work.
At CoreLogic, we know that IWD is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions women provide to society while also acknowledging the challenges they face. It is a day to recognize the need for collective action to address gender inequality and to create a more just and equitable world. You’ll see us embracing equity today and every day. Follow along with the hashtag #EmbraceCoreEquity and share with us your own quotes for International Women’s Day.
