CoreLogic® released its monthly residential Southern California home sales numbers for October 2023. This includes data for new and resale single-family homes and resale condominiums from six counties in the region: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura.
Southern California October Median Home Sales Prices
- The median sales price for all tracked properties in Southern California was $735,000 in October, a year-over-year increase of 4.3%. All counties in the region saw annual home price gains: Orange (14.2%), Ventura (7.4%), San Diego (6.5%), Los Angeles (3.9%), Riverside (1.5%) and San Bernardino (1.4%).
- Orange County again posted the region’s highest median sales price, at $1.1 million, followed by Los Angeles ($832,000), San Diego, ($825,000), Ventura ($816,000), Riverside ($553,000) and San Bernardino ($497,000) counties.
Southern California October Home Sales Activity
- Southern California home sales volume declined by -8% from October 2022, with all six counties posting annual declines.
- Ventura County saw the region’s largest year-over-year decline in home sales at -19%. The other five tracked counties also posted annual transaction decreases in October: Los Angeles (-8.6%), Orange (-8.4%), San Diego (-7.7%), San Bernardino (-6.4%) and Riverside (-5.7%).
