Learn MoreCoreLogic Credco provides information to lenders in support of their decision-making. Credco maintains a Consumer Services Department to take questions and resolve inquiries from consumers.
Credco is a reseller of consumer reports and other information to its clients, which consist of banks, mortgage companies and other lending institutions. Credco discloses personal information only to companies that you have authorized to access your information or those companies that otherwise have a permissible purpose to access your information under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Because Credco is a reseller of information that comes from other entities, Credco does not maintain a database from which new consumer reports are produced.
Credco specializes in merged credit reports, which may bring together data from all three of the national consumer credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union). Our customers (generally for purposes of a potential lending transaction) use our merged credit reports to help them determine whether to approve a loan/credit application. If you see a reference to a Credco “inquiry,” check for the name of the company that ordered the report through us by calling the number below.
If you don’t recognize an inquiry, please do not immediately assume it is fraudulent. If you recently applied for a new loan, applied to refinance an existing loan or have completed other applications for credit, it is likely the inquiry you see may be the result of that transaction. You can use the date indicated with the inquiry to help identify the specific transaction or application.
If you have researched the inquiry and still do not recognize it, or if you have additional questions, please contact our Consumer Services Department using the information below.
Credco’s Consumer Services Department is available to assist you with any inquiries you may have, such as researching an inquiry on your credit report, obtaining a copy of a Credco report with your information or disputing information in a report. You may contact us by phone or by mail:
Please be sure to include your first, middle and last name, as well as your Social Security number, current address, date of birth and signature on any written request.
